Lauren Smith, MA
Associate Therapist
I love learning about people, and often, the narratives we share include patterns stemming from lived experiences that can be unhelpful or make you feel stuck. Thankfully, through therapy, you can identify and work through these ineffective patterns and work towards repair rather than further distress. Specializing in anxiety, trauma, depression, and life transitions, I provide a safe, judgment-free environment for you to explore your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, ensuring your comfort and security.
Together, we will tailor therapy to your needs, cultivating a judgment-free environment built on mutual trust. You'll be met with validation, empathy, and supportive encouragement. I use trauma-informed best practices, gentle challenges, and humor to help you process your feelings, strengthen your resilience, and gain understanding and healing, making the therapeutic process more approachable and less intimidating.
I use evidence-based techniques and offer personalized support pulled from psychodynamic, person-centered, and evolutionary frameworks. These frameworks can help you identify unconscious processes, find meaning, and gain social learning insights. Additionally, I have specialized training in maternal mental health and betrayal trauma, ensuring a comprehensive and effective approach to your therapy.
I joined Lamppost Wellness in May of 2022.
